RECORDATORI VICTIMES DELS ACCIDENTS DE TRANSIT
PLE DE NOVEMBRE-09. UNANIMITAT
Els accidents en carretera provoquen la mort de prop de 1,3 milions de persones i danys o incapacitat en altres 50 milions. Estos accidents constituïxen la principal causa de mortalitat entre els jóvens d’edats compreses entre els 10 i els 24 anys.A l’octubre de 2005, l’Assemblea General de les Nacions Unides va adoptar una resolució que instava els governs a declarar el tercer diumenge de novembre com a Dia Mundial en Record de les Víctimes d’Accidents de Trànsit. El dia es va crear amb l’objectiu d’oferir reconeixement a les víctimes d’accidents i a la difícil situació dels familiars que s’enfronten a les conseqüències emocionals i pràctiques d’estos tràgics successos, però sobretot per a la reflexió sobre com se soluciona este problema.
Per això des de la FVMP es fa una crida als ajuntaments perquè promoguen esta data i per tant, es proposa al PLE l’adopció dels següents:
ACORDS
PRIMER. Commemorar el tercer diumenge de cada novembre, promovent esdeveniments dirigits a recordar a les víctimes dels accidents de trànsit i conscienciar els ciutadans en la seguretat viària.
SEGON. Organitzar concentracions i lectura de manifestos, ofrenes florals, solta de globus i minuts de silenci, tot això en pro de la seguretat viària, comptant amb la participació d’associacions representatives.
TERCER. Promoure campanyes de sensibilització i informació entre els diferents sectors de la societat (escolars, jóvens, majors, dones&hellip
, tant en el seu paper de vianants com en el de viatgers d’autobusos, automòbils, així com en el de conductor de bicicletes.
QUART. Fomentar entre els conductors les actituds i valors necessaris per a un bon comportament vial, potenciant essencialment el respecte pels vianants, ciclistes i la resta de grups de risc.
